Sandbox Marketing scores with its Suzuki Heisman Tour for ESPN the Magazine
Sandbox Marketing, LLC of Laguna Niguel, CA has put the wraps on a ten-stop mobile marketing program for ESPN the Magazine, announced today by Steve Ehret, Partner, Sandbox Marketing, LLC.
The 2004 Heisman Tailgate Tour Presented by Suzuki and ESPN The Magazine was created to provide fans a hands on interactive experience for college football fans. The tour was routed through 10 schools with proud traditions of college football. The Heisman Tour gave fans a chance to get up close and personal and take their picture with the actual Heisman trophy. Fans were also able to check out the all new line of Suzuki automobiles, including a completely customized Reno vehicle, and vote for their favorite Heisman candidate.
In addition to the live interaction, the Tailgate Team was very proactive in working with local print, internet and TV media to promote the Tailgate Tour and Suzuki’s Presenting Sponsorship of the Heisman Trophy.
Millions of additional impressions were possible for both ESPN The Magazine and Suzuki due to this effort.
The ESPN The Magazine area was THE place to sample and get a copy of the a new issue of ESPN The Magazine, premiums from The Incredibles, MR. 3000, Ladder 49, and National Treasure. The ESPN area also housed “You call the play” where fans had an opportunity to call famous plays of the past in their own voices and burn it to a recordable ESPN branded CD.
